Graham-Paige was an American automobile manufacturer founded by brothers Joseph, Robert and Ray Graham in 1927. The 3 brothers started by making kits to convert Model T’s into trucks in 1919. That led to them producing their own trucks which in turn led to them partnering with Dodge. In 1925 Dodge purchased the Graham Brothers brand and the brothers took on executive positions for a couple years after that. In 1927 the brother purchased the Paige-Detroit Motor Co and a year later changed the name to Graham-Paige. All the new 1928 Graham-Paige cars had a crisp new styling that made them an instant hit. Production was expanded as much as possible to meet the demand. The total production for 1928 amounted to over 73,000 cars, setting a record for a new car in its first year. Automobile production ceased in 1940 and the company was acquired by Kaiser-Frazer in 1947. As a corporate entity, the Graham-Paige name continued until 1962. This particular example is equipped with its original 207ci 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed manual transmission. It is a true barn find that is completely unrestored and 100% drivable. It is completely original with the exception of the normal wear items that have been serviced, the electric fuel pump and the cover on the front lower seat cushion. Included with the vehicle is a comprehensive service manual. If you are looking for true piece of automotive history they don’t get any more authentic than this. If you like what you see you better pick up the phone before it’s too late!
