Bentley automaker announced it has reserved the first Bentayga that will roll off its production line in Crewe, England, for Queen Elizabeth.
The starting price is 229,000 pounds ($352,000) for the limited-run First Edition versions. Just 500 First Edition models will be sold. After that, the Bentayga will start at 160,200 pounds in the UK.
The Queen has accepted Bentleys before, and often attends state occasions in a one-off limousine built by the company in 2002. The Queen still drives and this year was photographed behind the wheel of a Jaguar X-Type station wagon on her estate in Windsor, near London.
If the 87-year-old monarch finds it difficult to get into the Bentayga, she could have a set of electric folding steps added at a cost of about 2,000 pounds.
